Overview

TaskBraid is a time tracking application developed by Luma21 LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the application works with your data.

Data Storage

All your data stays on your device. TaskBraid stores all time tracking data locally in your browser's localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.

This means:

  • Your time entries, tasks, and notes never leave your device
  • No account or registration is required
  • No data is shared with third parties
  • Clearing your browser data will remove your TaskBraid data

Data Retention

TaskBraid automatically retains data for the last 28 days. Older data is automatically removed to keep the application performant. You can export your data at any time using the export feature.

Cookies and Tracking

TaskBraid does not use cookies for tracking purposes. The only data stored locally is your theme preference and time tracking data.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how our application is used. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-first analytics service that:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not track individual users
  • Does not collect personal information
  • Only collects aggregate, anonymous metrics (page views, referrers, browser/device type)

Third-Party Services

TaskBraid uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Fonts: To load the Chivo Mono typeface. Google's Privacy Policy applies.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: For anonymous, privacy-friendly usage analytics as described above.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

  • Access: Use the export feature to download your data as JSON
  • Portability: Export and import data between devices
  • Deletion: Clear your browser's localStorage to remove all data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
