Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TaskBraid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

Description of Service

TaskBraid is a time tracking application provided by Luma21 LLC. It lets you track time against tasks, keep notes alongside those tasks, set weekly goals, view reports, and export your data. TaskBraid requires an account, and your data is stored on our servers so that it syncs across your devices.

TaskBraid is in open beta. Anyone can create a free account. Paid plans (Pro and Max) are announced but not yet available, and no charge can apply to you until they launch and you choose one.

Plans and Data Retention

Free accounts keep a rolling 60 days of time entries. Entries and day notes older than 60 days are deleted permanently on an automatic schedule. This is a product limit, not a backup guarantee, so export anything you need to keep.

Pro and Max will remove that limit, and Max will additionally include AI features. Neither is available yet, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell them.

Your Account

You sign in through a third-party provider or an emailed sign-in link. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping access to the email address and sign-in provider you use with TaskBraid
  • Everything done through your account
  • The content you put into the application
  • Any AI client or other application you authorise to access your account

Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use TaskBraid only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another user's data
  • Probe, scan, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Use the service to store unlawful content
  • Place automated load on the service beyond ordinary use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Your Content

Your tasks, time entries and notes remain yours. You grant us only the permission we need to store, process and display that content back to you in order to run the service.

AI Assistants

TaskBraid exposes a Model Context Protocol server that you may authorise an AI client to connect to. An authorised client can read your data and write time entries as you. You are responsible for which clients you authorise, and their handling of your data is governed by their terms, not ours.

Intellectual Property

TaskBraid and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Luma21 LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Data and Privacy

Your use of TaskBraid is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what we store and how you can export or delete it.

Beta Software and Data Loss

TaskBraid is beta software. That means a higher than usual chance of disruption, defects, and data loss. Although your data is stored on our servers rather than only in your browser, you should not rely on TaskBraid as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

  • Export your data regularly from Settings, under Data Management
  • Deleting your account deletes your data immediately and irreversibly
  • On the Free plan, entries older than 60 days are deleted automatically
  • We may need to reset or migrate beta data as the product changes

Disclaimer of Warranties

TaskBraid is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Data stored in the service will be preserved indefinitely
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luma21 LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of TaskBraid.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of TaskBraid after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

You may stop using TaskBraid at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from Account, under Danger Zone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or discontinue the service; where we discontinue it, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
